There's a Party and You're Invited!

Candle parties are a great way to increase your profits!

Check out this valuable information about Candle Parties from CandleMaking.org.uk.

I think two of the best advantages they offer are new local customers that are likely to come back, and the fact that you get specific orders that are guaranteed sales.

If you think you are the kind of person who can host a 2-3 hours party, that it is definitely the way to go!

Joyfull Candle Market Story

Lori Beaty is a self-described candle-freak. Out shopping, her nose will lead her to the candle aisle, where she’ll spend long minutes sniffing, her brain dissecting the scent. When she and her husband moved from Texas to Fairview two years ago, she had an epiphany.

Smaller markets find their groove

I love these stories about people selling their candles in small markets. That's the way to go, and you can't overlook the amount of joy Lori Beaty is having making these candles and selling them, especially when you read about her humorous scents!

I hope you are enjoying yourself making candles at least as much as she does!

A great match for your wick!

I bet one of your most common questions is: which wick goes with the wax I'm using?

If this is the case, this list is perfect for you. It has dozens of wax and wick matches, according to the candle type.

But don't forget, that whatever you end up using - write it down and keep it for your own reference. That is always the best way to go!

Turn Crayons Into Candles

Do you have all of those broken crayons the kids don't use anymore? Turn them into candles you can use or give as gifts.

Candle Making: recycling old crayons for fund raising or fun

Here's another fun idea for a interesting candle. I love it when there's a chance to recycle old stuff, instead of spending money on new material. Don't you?

Try giving this one a chance.

Test Test Test

Always test your candles
You have just finished your last candle making project for the day. You've unplugged your candle wax melter, stored any excess wax and additives and washed all of your utensils. Your candles have cooled nicely you have stored them, boxed them or wrapped them for sale or to give as gifts...

Always test your candles - Candle making

One of the basic things of making candles is: test, test and test some more. If you are trying a new scent, wick or additive - check it out, see if it works, write it down. Does it smoke? Is the throw strong? How's the burning time?

This good article talks more about it.
